

Working on our 2nd prototype
We've had a very busy few days building our second prototype. Bigger and more powerful, it is fuelled by a 100 watt solar panel which will charge two lithium batteries. The boat's direction and speed is controlled by an Ardupilot (based on Arduino Mega), which can be updated remotely via the software Tower (mobile & tablet based) and Mission Planner (PC based). Weighing in at 13kg, we are launching the boat tommorrow for it's first test; making good progress towards building


RoMarin at Juans les Pins
We were welcomed on the Stand of the SoFab (Laboratory of Manufacturing of Sophia Antipolis) Saturday 22 October and no less than 2000 visitors visited the stands of the Palais des Congrès. The reception was enthusiastic for RoMarin for both the Open Source version and the coastal project.
